I believe photography is an essential skill as an artist. Practicing photography has developed my eye for composition and clarity. When editing images, my goal is to make the color and light match what I see with my own eyes and to remove any distractions from the subject. Color is also an important element in my photos. The use of color in an image can draw a response from the audience, or set a tone that communicates an idea. I capture my images in RAW format to be sure that I lose the least amount of data that I can when editing them. I shoot both with an without a tripod, as they each have their own benefits.

The first group of images shows my process with before and after editing photos. The original image is on the left, and the final image is on the right. The last group of photos stand alone. These were pictures that I captured to explore different concepts such as color, lighting, and photographing people and animals that are constantly moving.
